Ok so I have listed a few of my most favorite things I have used or am using for my dogs because I think you will love them as well if you give them a try. Water Bowls


My favorite watering system for my kennels is found on Amazon (ya, i'm an amazon fan!) : Little Giant Epoxy-Coated Steel Automatic Stock Waterer. It keeps a bowl of fresh water for your pup at all times (even if you sleep in and forget to water the dog in the morning). It has a float system hidden behind a little metal flap that turns the water on when the water level drops and off when its full - we love ours! Approx. Cost from amazon: $40-50.

Metal Feeder

Automatic dog feeder - dog proof, basically indestructible and great for a long weekend!

Dyson Wireless Vac

Hands Down my most favorite in-the-house accessory!! This is the Dyson Animal DC44 - It comes with a pet hair attachment and it cleans up EVERYTHING - even the dirt the big vacs leave behind. This is not only great for your pets messes but excellent for little munchkins as well!! Amazon sells them as either new or refurbished.

BIG Dog House

Our dogs are well....GIANT so I figured they needed a big dog house. I chose a dog house that is actually listed on Amazon as a playhouse but I think it will work perfectly...and I got it for cheaper than most of the large dog houses sell for! Win-Win - I also purchased a doggy door to install inside the playhouse door and used a rhinolining on the inside with drilled floor holes for liquid drainage.

The Kennel

There are a lot of kennels out there and picking one that will be safe for your pet is one of the most important things you can do. Although they no longer make the type of kennel we have(very sad because we love ours) there are others that work just as well. A few pointers: make sure to get a welded wire kennel and not one comprised of chain link - chain link slips and becomes unsafe. Make sure the opening around the door is not large enough for a puppy to get their head through. You need to have a solid surface in at least half of the kennel so your dog can stay dry. Optional half gravel or grass kennel is ideal since it gives your puppy a place to learn to potty instead of all over the place. Make sure your dog can not dig out under the kennel - anti-digging bars are ideal. Septic System

So...where do you put the doggy poo after you pick it out of your yard?! Well you can bag it for the poor unsuspecting garbage man, flush it (yea right!) or you can use something simular to this Doggy Septic system. Yes, of course amazon sells them (I have yet to find something they dont sell)...but Im also including a "do it yourself" link on how to build a septic system if you want to go that route instead.

Whelping Mat

I have tried all kinds of whelping mats for our females litters...washable, disposable, blankets, towels...All failed until I found this one!! Oh What A Wonderful Find - It met my expectations and passed them. This mat holds fluids, solids, dirt etc away from pups and mom keeping them dry, allowing for traction, soft and comfortable, protects the floor underneath and washes out easily.
